Hi there, I'm Marta,

born in Poland and raised in Berlin. Interested in anthropology, design and psychology since childhood, I studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. In the third semester I visited a packaging production for the first time and was hooked! What followed was the development of “Butter Plus”, a packaging concept purchased and patented by manufacturer Weidenhammer Packaging Group.

During my bachelor's degree, I worked for various start-ups and agencies as a corporate, UX and industrial designer on projects for companies such as Condé Nast, HPI D-School or the German Government before specializing in concept innovation and IoT after graduating. Among my greatest successes I count the launch of the NIVEA Shower Gel Refill Station voted amongst the Top 10 Social Impact Stories of 2020 by Designboom, finalist of the National German Sustainability Award and Honoree of the Fast Companies’ 2021 Innovation by Design Award and the newly introduced brand O.W.N, which I redesigned from the ground up from August 2020.

In addition to my work as a designer and innovation manager, I worked at Beiersdorf as Sustainability Manager and was responsible for reporting on the "Global Commitment Progress Report" of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the United Nations Environment Program, as well as managing various LCAs, tracking the companies global KPIs, co-driving the recycling and circular material initiatives and the co-development of the companies’ interactive sustainability e-learning that is now used and offered to more than 20.000 employees worldwide.

From September 2022 to August 2023, I pursued Service Design at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, with a focus on tech, sustainability, business innovation, and UX. During the "Deep Tech Acceleration Week," I contributed to the concept "OverHerd," an A.I. system advancing biodiversity monitoring which took second place amongst the judges. In the seven-month Entrepreneurial Journey course at Imperial College London, I won the Grand Challenge Prize for "TerraWise," connecting SMEs to the green grant ecosystem for sustainability. A notable achievement is "Unify," a collaboration with the United Nations Human Settlement Program. Unify is a multi-stakeholder platform connecting government officials and domain experts, enhancing public participation in smart city development. Showcased at COP28 in Dubai, it received recognition from "Prototypes for Humanity" - one of the most prestigious innovation awards in the world and a nomination for the UX Design Awards.

Currently I am working at SAP Fioneer as a Service Designer/ Product Owner driving FinTech Innovation setting value propositions, user stories and much more.

In summary, I see myself as an innovation manager and service designer with a great passion for digitization and sustainability. Who, thanks to many years of work in R&D, loves working together with scientists and engineers.
